Purposeful and Authentic Patterning in Kindergarten
Last week (February 18th) I had the honour of presenting with my colleague and friend Santina Fantetti on behalf of the Toronto Educators Association for Mathematics (TEAMS), a branch of the Ontario Association for Mathematics Education (OAME). Our presentation discussed the topic of patterning in Kindergarten. We hoped that the presentation; as well as the accompanying provocations; supported our attendees in gaining a deeper knowledge about the complexity and importance of patterning in the early years.
Many thanks to all who attended! It was a wonderful evening of sharing our learning. For further questions, comments, or sharing of your own experience in teaching patterning, please do not hesitate to contact us.
